It Is All About ME

I was fifteen weeks old when I first met mom and dad. It was in Maggie Valley at a NC. It was a big surprise to all of us. I thought I was just going for a nice visit to meet many people and they thought they were just going to dog show. Life can be amazing some times. Mali and Rani were great from the first day. Mali is more than a big sister she was more like a second mother, but now that Rani and I are older, she has calmed down some and is not as protective of us. She does still insist on keep our ears and faces clean.

I do tend to be a lot shier than both Mali and Rani. They are right out there greeting and meeting people. I like to hang back and see what everyone is doing. While they are happy to give everyone a good taste, I think I can give them a good sniff from the other side of the room, thank you very much.

Never Again!

Then one day an amazing thing happened Rani and I got to go outside after it rained and we found this huge puddle and we played this great game called queen of the mud puddle. We played it for a long time until we were so tired we could barely stand up. About that time dad called, us in from play. I did not understand why both dad and mom were so surprised when they saw us. It was just a little mud. They made both Rani and I have a bath. I am telling you right now I never want to have another bath again for the rest of my life!

I do not want to go to PUPPY SCHOOL!

Mom and dad takes us out of the house often, we go to Pets mart or the park and sometimes to dog parks, and sometimes just for walks down town. Sometimes mom takes us without Mali. When she does that, I am the most nervous. Puppy school for just Rani and me without Mali was scary, but there were many other dogs there and I soon found out there was nothing to be afraid of and I settled right in.

Can anyone tell me what it is with ears? Why is it they can never just either stay up or down; First it is one ear, than it is the other ear, than it is both ears up and then both down; I have just about had it with mine and think I am going to keep mine down!

I learned the house rules very quickly. It was easy to learn as I just followed what Mali did. I learned to sit, and stay and to heal right away, but I did not like to lie down when I was told to, not at all. Being shy, it made me feel unsafe to have someone hovering over me. As I grew older, I got over that feeling, and now I trust mom, dad, and I will go down when I am told. I learned command like wait, car, kitchen, go on, and not yours, all before I was five months old.

I do still love a good mud bath. It frustrates my Mum to no end. She had dad gravel the entire fenced side yard, but if it rains I just dig down passed the gravel to find the mud. I am a bit of a "Glamma Gal" she says, I always want to have a good mud bath, I think it is good for my fair completion. What do you think?

I really love everyone in my family. Mom is the one who feeds me most often, but I do like it if dad comes in when she puts the bowl down just so I know he is a round. For some reason he makes my heart go pitter-patter just a little harder than any other human does. Mom says I am the light of his heart. She calls all of us girls his daughters.

Christmas was fun. It was my first one and what I liked best was Moms homemade cookies and the fact she let us have the new big pillows in the living room to lie on. Mom says I looked just like an angle.

The Dog Park is one of my favorite places to go. There is lots of room to run and play. Dad likes to hide and Mali, Rani, and I try to find him. We also like to patrol the fences and sniff everything to see if any of our friends have been there since we were there last. It is a great place to go.

One-day mom and dad got in into their heads I should have my ears taped up. I can hold my ears up when I want to. I just do not want to. They have pictures to prove I can, even one of me asleep with both of my ears up. I heard recently, they are thinking about trying it again, I will try not to laugh too hard at them when they try it.

You can see by the picture of me stretched out I am quite long. I think I take after Great, Great Great Grand Pappy the Old Grey Dog, yelpers I do in many ways. I think the ears have it.
